The John Hardy Trust has been created to allow us to work with the largest youth charity in the UK, UK Youth (the new name for Youth Clubs of Great Britain).
Whilst KIDS 4 KIDS will concentrate on working with younger children (under 13) The John Hardy Trust will work with its Members, Suppliers and Consumers to assist UK Youth, who help some 750,000 children and young adults, up to the age of 23 years, develop and grow. The Trust will raise funds in its name and UK Youth members will be able to apply for a grant at the end of the Year to aid them in buying sports and other activity related equipment for their use and benefit.
By buying through our web sites you will be able to donate a part of the cost of what you purchase to helping this worthy organisation in their work. Our aim is to help develop fit and active children, future Sportsmen and Sportswomen, as well as actively encouraging health, well-being and social inclusion of all our young citizens.
About John Hardy, FCA

This Trust has been set up in memory of John Hardy, a larger than life character within the Sports Industry. John was born in 1946 but unfortunately passed away at an early age (55) from, amongst other things, a heart condition.
To John education was very important, but too late he realised that exercise, a fit lifestyle and a good diet were also important to maintain one's lifestyle. He decided that smoking and drinking were not helpful pursuits and could, especially in the young, be dangerous.
John was an accountant with many interests but work was the one that ruled his life. Whilst he enjoyed a game of snooker and flying model airplanes his business always came first.
Throughout his short life he helped many people and associations but especially the young. He was grandfather to four girls and was often heard to say that 'kids were for spoiling' but obviously only in the best of ways and for the right reasons.
He donated items such as football kits and netball outfits to the local school, helped the Out of School club with sports and active play equipment and donated to the NSPCC amongst many other charities.
In 1998 he helped his wife set up www.exercise.co.uk, a web site offering exercise, fitness, disabled, kids and leisure equipment. However, the main aim of the site was to be informative and to pass on information that would help, not just youngsters, although they were a priority, but all people, regardless of age, to be active and healthy.
The aim of The John Hardy Trust is to work closely with UK Youth (new name for Youth Clubs of Great Britain) in an effort to help develop fit and active children, future Sportsmen and Sportswomen, as well as actively encouraging health, well-being and the social inclusion of our future citizens.
The Trust is a fitting memorial to a Yorkshire gentleman.
